is there anyway to add notification feature to it? so that when a visitor comments on a post I will recieve notification on fb and direct me to the post being commented on.

I am having some trouble and this most likely user error. I am using the Effector Theme.

I actually don't see a "<body>" after the "</head>".

Instead, I see the following:

How do I know when someone comments on my site? I tried to understand the Fb.Event.subscribe https://developers.facebook.com/.../FB.Event.subscribe/ but I don't get it.

Thank you! I add the comments following these instructions and it was great. But lately, I don't know what I did, the number of comments disappeared: it just shows "Comments" without any number, even in the posts which have may comments... I checked the html and I still have:

{block:ifFacebookCommentsOn}

this is great, but I was wondering...is there a way to make the comments in-line, what I mean about that is when u click on comments it doesn't take u to a single post detail page but u make them while in the main page.

Is this going to work with every theme? I have one I paid good money for, I don`t want these facebook comments to mess my design, but people don`t really comment on Disqus either

Ah just as I thought, this isn't working for me. I guess my theme lacks the "Facebook Comments On" tickbox or something. I've added all the code but where do I actually activate the comments? {block:ifFacebookCommentsOn} suggests there is something to "enable" them...

Oh BOY! Amazing!

It worked on the first go. There are several things that I ended messing up in my theme though.

1) I tried adding comments count just below the post title, near the {Block:text} part. So, in my theme, the blog title fonts changed and intead of persisting on top, it persisted on bottom. (With persistence I mean staying at the same spot no matter the scrolling.)

2) Similarly, my Spyndex theme (?) has this progression - text, tumblr notes, tweet. I put my FB comments blog right on top of everything, and somehow, all of the above blocks became left aligned instead of center. Where do I change all of these themes?

This was very helpful, although on the Facebook Comment Moderation Tool ->Settings, the popup Settings refused to load. But thanks so much for outlining this process. Everyone should have Facebook comments on their Tumblr blog.

There is no button that says "Facebook Comments On" to check. They must've changed it. All I see is "facebook username." How do I turn on my facebook comments? This tutorial needs to be updated, but it was otherwise very helpful! Hopefully, someone can guide me... my new tumblr site is Vidds.com.

Thank you! I have one problem though, it's limiting the space shown on the comments box instead of showing it complete; when it first loads, it shows the whole box (that's what I want), but when it finishes loading, it reduces the view and only the top is shown.
